Chairman -Spencer Whatling

Since his stage debut in a school production of Aladdin Spencer took a short 30 year hiatus. Through his children’s love for performing the last few years have transformed in a whirlwind from helping out with stage and set (which he loves) to finding his way onto the other side of the curtain. His debut following a few gentle nudges was Commander Harbison in South Pacific which he loved and got the bug, the smell of the greasepaint was too tempting to avoid and is loving life on stage.

Recently Spencer has had the opportunity to play some great roles including a Comedy Gangster Pastry Chef in The Drowsy Chaperone and probably his favourite to date the iconic Manuel in Fawlty Towers

Spencer loves being involved and helping out with the youth section and enjoys seeing the passion of the great young performers we have in the company develop into stars.

As newly elected Chairman Spencer has great vision for the company and is looking forward to great this this coming year – watch this space.

Secretary - Stevie Collin

Stevie moved to Felixstowe in 2001 and quicly sought out somewhere to make new friends. She found Stage Door and has been on the committee since 2003. Stevie is a keen photogropher and rather than tread the boards theses days is more than likely found running around during the dress rehearsal busily taking photos of anything that moves.

Gen Mem - Claire Hopkins

Lovely Claire is often the voice of reason at the gatherings we like to call meetings

Fund Raiser - Ange Watling

Angela is fairly new to the company but has a love for singing and dancing.

She enjoys a challenge and loves getting the opportunity to let her inner diva out on

Recently Angela has taken on the role of the rather saucy Suspenda in Up Pompeii

following performances in its showtime and Fawlty Towers and can often be found

on stage during panto season ( oh yes she can).

Handy with a needle and thread and much to the delight of her family will be up to

her neck in material and cotton pulling together costumes for shows.

Dawn - Treasurer

Dawn the lady in charge of the books, balancing out the ambitions of the company with the reality of cash flow. Gamely joins in the productions, though not a natural performer and loves the Galas and Special events held by the company
